When screening materials that are prone to dust generation, the screening machine needs to take a series of effective dust and explosion prevention measures to ensure the safety and environmental protection of the production process.
In terms of dust prevention, the screening machine should first be designed with a fully enclosed structure, using a well sealed casing to reduce dust spillage. At the same time, flexible sealing devices are installed at the inlet and outlet to prevent dust from flying during the material entry and exit process. For example, using rubber curtains or soft sealing materials can ensure smooth passage of materials and effectively block dust.
Installing a vacuum cleaning system is also a key measure. Reasonably arrange suction ports around the screening machine to promptly suck the generated dust into the dust removal equipment. Common bag filters intercept and collect dust through filter bags, purify the air, and then discharge it into the atmosphere, effectively reducing the dust concentration in the work area.
In terms of explosion prevention, the explosion prevention of electrical equipment is crucial. Select motors, controllers, etc. that meet explosion-proof standards, such as using explosion-proof or increased safety electrical equipment, to prevent dust explosions caused by electrical sparks. The casing of these devices has been specially designed to withstand potential internal explosions without affecting the external environment.
Static elimination is also an important step that cannot be ignored. Install static eliminators inside the screening machine and on the material conveying pipeline to promptly eliminate the static electricity generated during the screening and conveying process of materials, avoiding the accumulation of static electricity and causing explosions. At the same time, the equipment should be well grounded to ensure the safe introduction of static electricity into the ground.
In addition, an explosion-proof monitoring system should be installed to monitor the dust concentration and oxygen content in the working environment in real time. Once the concentration or oxygen content reaches the danger threshold, an alarm is immediately issued and corresponding measures are taken, such as stopping equipment operation, strengthening ventilation, etc.
Inside the screening machine, explosion suppression devices such as explosion suppressors can be installed. When an explosion is detected, the explosive suppressant can be quickly released to suppress the development of the explosion and reduce the harm caused by the explosion.
Through the comprehensive application of the above dust and explosion prevention measures, the safety risks of the screening machine in handling materials that are prone to dust can be effectively reduced, ensuring the smooth progress of production.
